My Favourite Thing to Do at Pre-School is…
Pre-School sessions include a combination of free play and organised group activities.
During free play, the children enjoy the use of three play areas. This is an example of what would typically be on offer:
Outside Play Area
- large ship
- play house
- sand and water play
- ball games
- drawing and writing
- play dough
- puzzles & games
- book corner with borrowing library
- cars and trains
- small worlds play
- home corner
- craft project (themed)
During the Summer and Winter periods, the children learn themed songs, design artwork and dress up to take part in performances for parents, carers and other family members to watch in the church which is connected to the pre-school. Typically, the Summer Concert is performed during the last week of the summer term and the Christmas Concert in the final week before the Christmas break.
During the summer term, the children practise running in races ready for Sports Day, which is held at Rivermead Leisure Centre.
We also have other annual activities which include fundraisers for the pre-school, more information on which can be found on the fundraising page.
