Fees & Funding
Caversham Heights Pre-School is a registered charity. All of the money that we receive, whether from fees, fundraising events or government bodies, is used solely to run and support the activities of the pre-school.
Government funding can be used to fully pay the cost of a child’s sessions once the child becomes eligible (the term following their third birthday). Children who are eligible for government funding but who do not use the funding to pay for sessions at our pre-school or who attend for additional hours to those covered by the government allowance are charged £5.97 per hour.
The Early Years Grant provides funding for each child for 15 hours per week (or 30 hours if eligible) for a total of 38 weeks per year. For more information, please visit https://www.reading.gov.uk/earlyyearsfunding
Children who are under 3 years old are charged £6.44 per hour until the start of the term following their third birthday.
Fees are reviewed annually in April.
Invoices are sent three times a year during the months of September, January and May. Payment is required within 14 days of an invoice being issued. We also accept childcare vouchers.
We require a term’s notice (12 weeks) that a child is leaving the pre-school. If notice is not given, it is our policy to charge the fees for the term.
We offer places for children from the age of 2.5 years. Please contact us for further information.
We ask all parents to consider making a regular donation of £10 per half term to help us cover running costs including resources and activities for the children. This can be paid by bank transfer to Caversham Heights Preschool, Sort code 20-71-03, Account no. 50722294 with a payment reference “your child’s name Donation”. This really makes a difference to what we can offer each term, thank you in advance for your support.
Caversham Heights Pre-School is registered to receive Gift Aid. We would be very grateful if you could complete and return the form from the link below to enable us to claim an extra 25p per £1 that you donate.
